The iron requires removal of a film of paraffin before use, followed by proper seasoning. Once this item is properly seasoned, it works great!

It worked well and like all our new cast irons we still oil the pan every time we use it
This waffle maker makes the best waffles we’ve ever had and once seasoned properly is nonstick and very easy to use
I melted the wax off easily generously greased both pans and made waffles before i even seasoned iti was eager to try it
I used a butter knife to get it to come out but it was completely effortless and fell out once i got it started

Pro low cost lasts forever with a minimum amount of care
Once i started a return it showed that you have to pay return postage and incure an 20 restock fee
It’s not perfect but it’s a good value
Theyre convenient but theyre expensive and such a waste

I just received mine this week was able to clean season start using it for multiple batches of waffles all week
Getting the shipping wax off was interesting

I use the pancake mix from costco on the waffle maker and it is perfect
Theres very few brand new cast iron waffle makers you can buy now but rome is one of the few

I do 23min on each side and both irons are placed on stove to get heat up

Don’t expect a huge waffle maker and if you don’t use cast iron don’t learn before trying to make waffles
