They are a bit pricey and the performance flaw is, since they are real leather and absorbmoisture, they do just that of the sweat of others and yours when contact is made.

After the outer leather skin peeled off.

Sure as others have noted they aren't perfect, the inner padding started to break down after 18mos, and finally the leather began to crack after 3yrs.
