The parts of the novel that i found the most interesting were those that examined the dynamic within the fellowship that while highlighting the degree of brainwashing and its misogynistic treatment of women the fellowship offers a degree of belonging and family that the outside world doesnt

I think if i had a comment it is only that i would have liked the political framework within the novel to have used reality rather than a similar but different scenario

David a young man on the verge of entering an arranged marriage to a woman he doesnt love deciding to face his family he refuses to accept the union and the rules that go with the cult he belongs to

It gives a very clear and balanced insight into this strict and confined sect of people many of whom may be struggling with their own thoughts of release as our character david did before leaving the community
