Pros
If you are looking to replace your old worn out n64 sticks, this is the one to get. Overall, i really like it and think it is worth replacing the control stick, rather than using a generic controller.
Cons
The joystick is very stiff and has a huge dead zone. The diagonal directions are a bit weird, and makes things irritating on platformers when you are walking on narrow platforms.
The plug connector is not an easy fit into the female connector on the circuit board. There is a very good chance this will break something on your controller during reassembly. The assembly is too wide (about 4 mm) for an oem body.
This is awful. The playability is horrible. You have your 8 directions and that's it.

With the spring replaced the joystick feels very similar to the stock joystick and i am very happy with the replacement
I would highly recommend replacing the spring that comes with this with the original nintendo spring

These arent the vintage joysticks but thats to be expected for a device that was originally made in 96

Its not as smooth as the original but still very sensitive

It tends to favor a few positions so i wouldnt exactly call it smooth but its a lot better than a broken stick
