What i did to solve this problem was put a folded up piece of paper towel in between the door and the filter so it would push in further and then it worked replaced the old factory filter with this filter and
The filter doesnt fit perfectly so i am having to repeatedly push it in
The front flips up to replace it and as your closing the lid the filter is pushed into place
