The heal is cushioned and raised to make for less flipping and flopping. This flip flop feels very comfortable and secure on my foot even when wet.
These sandals are probably the best i've ever owned. Good quality sandals that are worth every penny.
Cons
The fannings are not marketed as slippers for plantar fasciitis slippers. I have severe plantar fasciitis and there are very very few products that actually help the condition. Get a pair of teva or rainbows, stay away from these things.
Don't buy this sandal. Sadly i was too busy to think of getting a refund.
A lot of glowing reviews for these sandals but as far as i'm concerned they are junk. Reef has gone gimmick over quality.

I finally decided to buy some better quality ones and boy im glad i did

At around 55 a pair these are some of the more expensive flip flops available but i think the price is well worth it
The ones that do that are all toningexercise sandals that cost 80
Shipping
The seller never sent me a return shipping label or refunded the shipping cost
But i spent 12 for the shipping both ways and i have nothing to show for it
Packaging/appearance
On boat decks its worse because there are curved surfaces where even new shoes will gouge the gelcoat or paint
Competitiveness
I like a footbed that doesnt get slippery when its wet
I ordered two other brands offerings as well and found them to be my favorite out of the box
Reefs come in third place behind sole and olukai flip flops
I was never a big fan of flipflops until now
