On their own i would say they are more room darkening i didnt double up on the blinds than actual blackout but in conjuncture with blackening curtains which are also not 100 blackening

In terms of removing them i heard that if you blow dry hot air on them the adhesive would soften and you can remove them

I had to double up on some windows as windows were too wide but it worked fine
