If a thief finds it and realizes what it is would the thief not just take the whole phony book rather than trying to open the inside container

Does it not tell the thief that there is something very important here that it needs to be locked and the item should be stolen

Looks basically like any other book on our shelf if you dont pick it up and examine it closely

Works great the book isnt completely believable but its fooled plenty in my office
