It doesnt affect the car seat nor the child but it is a pain in the butt to try to put it into place when your kid climbs into the seat by himherself

The performance sport seat is still really good but it took my kiddo a while to be able to buckle herself in and it tightens easily at first but to get the snugness right i have to pull pretty hard

To the people that comment that the center strap is too short

The seat extended to the height of a tall preschooler but the straps were not long enough to accommodate even my thin tall daughter
