I found my reverse lights wires for my right side reverse light cut it in half and stripped it and then crimped them back together with the camera wires on black and red rather than grounding the black wire

With my setup the camera only comes on when in reverse mode and turns off when you have it in any other gear selection

I thought that maybe mounting it in front exposed it to more water then it was designed for

They responded in a couple of hours letting me know their camera was water proof and the rain should not have knocked it out
