    I started buying rayovac because it seemed to me that there were a lot of counterfeit and/or very old duracell and energizer batteries being sold and i think the much less-known rayovac brand is less likely to have that problem.

    In *my* experience, alkaline batteries seem most likely to leak when they are left in a very low-drain device that very slowly exhausts the battery *completely*.

    I use the ear buds quite a bit for my roku remote and i go through batteries pretty quickly.
