I have not found it to be a tripping hazard but it is too thick to use indoors in the direction that your door swings as the door will not be able to clear the mat

The colors penetrate only about 14 inch down into the pile and cause the coir to be matted on top in some places

The coir was dyed before weaving so did not lose its color until the pile had worn off

About the color the colors are more vibrant than the main picture on amazon as i post this review a photo in which you can see the coir fibers but the color appears washed out
