When you walk by like another comment made it seem don't listen to people about the cheap hardware the downward force keeps the legs propped out just fine add a hose clamp for added support if u want but not neccisary deffinitly worth the price.

You only have a safety pin for the upper section, the leg assembly has to rely solely on the pressure from the twist knob.
