Needed to convert from painters pole to a roof shots camera pole

I never tried using it as is so it may be just fine out of the box but for my own piece of mind i removed the tension screw that came with it mounted it on the painters pole drilled through the hole into the painters pole making sure not to damage the threads of the adaptor and then used a longer version of the screw to hold it all in place

Maybe so but after investing so much in my camera it seems like a small price to make sure its secure when i hoist it up in the air

If you elevate a camera without image stabilization then raise the shutter speed because sway is magnified by an extension pole
