I ordered this as a an affordable alternative to the fracture boot I have been using. The boot is definitely preferable for weight bearing, but I have now been instructed to stay off my foot as much as possible and needed something that would work with my knee scooter. The shoe is of similar quality to other foot brace/post-op shoes I've seen. I like that the velcro parts can be taken off and repositioned. The sole is not as rigid as my boot and I would prefer more rigidity, but this is fine for the price (and considering I shouldn't be stepping on it anyway). My one complaint is the size chart. I am a woman who wears a size 11 shoe. Sometimes I need wide and sometimes I don't. This shoe is too big and I should have gone with the medium. The sizing seems to be pretty much like my boot which is a DJO product also and my boot is medium. This shoe is a large and fits like a boot my husband has (essentially identical to mine) which is a size large. Having large feet, I tend to expect things to be too small and usually go larger if there is a question. In this case with the adjustability of the straps, I should have gone smaller so I would get more support. The size chart on the women's shoe was why I did not order the women's large (a different listing). In retrospect it probably would have fit better than this one. Probably not worth returning so I'll see if I can make it work. In any case, if my husband ever needs a fracture shoe, it would fit him.  Read Less
