I am fairly new to taking probiotics (only been taking them for about 6 months), and was very excited to try these out when I finished my last bottle of probiotics. The last bottle I purchased was for women, so my husband never took them, and I have been wanting to find a product that both him and I can take without having to worry about buying/restocking separate probiotics - This bottle of probiotics is just that! I love that there are 20 billion units per serving, and that there are 4 different strains of bacteria (so much better than taking probiotics that only have one or two strains). My husband started taking these the day they arrived (because he was starting to feel a cold coming on) and luckily he never ended up getting sick! Not sure if it was the probiotics, or a combination of factors, but my husband was convinced it was because of the probiotics. Before I started taking them, I did the ‘milk’ test, as I do with all new brands of probiotics I buy… I filled a small bowl with some milk, and opened up the pill and let the contents dissolve into the milk. Within 24-48 hours I noticed that the milk became thicker and had little curdles in it (which is exactly what you want to see when checking the potency of probiotics). So yes, these are alive! Also, be sure to store them in the fridge to preserve the potency. Overall, I am very satisfied with these, and will definitely be buying them again for the reasons I listed above!I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest/unbiased review.  Read Less
