Also the locking mechanism makes me feel much more at ease as i have had numerous instances where i almost dropped my sax because the stupid hook randomly popped off

The rubber coating on the clasp is already coming off and will be gone soon

The fact that there is a metal hook is reassuring

This is a comfortable strap but i deducted one star because the plasticlike material that covers the metal hook attaching the strap to the saxophone lasted less than one month

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I assume this material was added to the hook to prevent the hook from scratching or having other abrasive effects on the saxophone but it was not at all durable

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It wont scratch the instrument you are trying to support

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It would be ideal if only it had a spring safety for the hook instead of the draw latch that is cumbersome and slows down switching horns

Not a narrow band around the neck
