Pros

This new one is sturdier too. Overall, it saves so much time and well worth purchasing!

It's perfect for onion and garlic (and shallots) and should only be used for those veggies. Makes the perfect pico de gallo and helps me prep for soups and gumbos so much easier. Also makes a nice cubed potato for hash.

The new version has a plastic mesh part that you remove to get the pieces left in the chopping action. It chops the onion real nice and fine. And the chopper measures what is chopped. It also has a special section to finely dice garlic.

Cons

This product is very had to press down to chop the onion. It does not cut easily, the blades are not sharp enoigh. Tried to contact the importer with no success. Buy a pull chop.

The top cover clip on is very non-durable. It defeats the purpose of having packed onion container to avoid tears. It does not.
