The inflator head that i've been using starts leaking co2 out of the seams and icing up as soon as the cartridge is punctured.

This beats the cheaper inflators hands down, as a matter of fact you are wasting your money if buy an inflator without a valve like this.

Use a bit of co2 to get the tire filled and the bead seated on the rim and make sure there is nothing wrong with the tube in place before blasting the rest of the co2 into the tire.

Never fun to blow the whole co2 into the tube only to pop it instantly because the tire wasn't set properly.

If you don't, or are in a hurry, you could have some issues.

Once, i failed to completely screw the cartridge in, even though i thought i had, and a lot of air leaked out, pretty much wasting the cartridge.

This could probably happen with any similar unit, and i now know not to make that mistake again.

Keep in mind, that despite the tight seal with the threading, once you screw a cartridge on here, even if you don't use all the air in it, i'd say within 12-48 hours what's left in the cartridge will leak out.
