I LOVE this little heater.Based on prior experiences w/ lower-priced, smaller heaters, I wasn't expecting much, but this is a great little powerhouse.Raises the room temp in my small (20-10) spare room by >5° F in just minutes, and by >10° F in less than an hour, at the lower (750watt) setting. I've never had the need to try the higher (1500watt) setting yet.As headline indicates, there IS a little thermostat control that will automatically turn it off above, and back on below, any temp level you set it to. (But there's no temp readout; if you want exact numbers, you'll have to calibrate it yourself. I do it just by feel.)It's pretty quiet, humming away in the background (but loud enough to worry the cat, who gives it a wide berth -- I guess that's a good thing).VERY superior value at the price; would definitely buy again.  Read Less
