The lip gripper is well worth the extra $5 on amazon. The digital scale is easy to read and the built in measuring tape comes in handy. I love the measuring tape and how it beeps once the reading is complete. Pliers are an added bonus.

One of the selling points was measuring the peak weight that i would like to use for setting the drag on my lever drag reels but unfortunately after carefully following the instructions numerous times i am unable to access this function
