With each chapter my dodgy knees instinctively went into lock step with callie’s and whoever else was still alive as they slogged up and down mountains and clambered over mosscovered boulders all the while watching their backs

Belinda pollard manages to keep all the different threads from tangling in this complex plot and ties up everything neatly in the endbut not too neatly as the end does not read like a fairy tale
