Pros

Two plate mates for each dumbbell; one for each end of the dumbbell. Love being able to add a small increment of weight. Read rippetoe's book starting strength for a good discussion on linear progression and micro-loading.

These are pricey, but they are so convenient that you will not regret the purchase. The product works as advertised. The only downside is the price.

The product we received is completely encased in rubber. The magnets aren't strong enough to stick to the ez bars. Was a waste of money. Will blame the dumbbells though.

I hesitated to buy these at first because of the high price point but i could not be happier with the product and the value

Maybe you could some money if you could find a large magnet that weighs a pound or two and avoid paying for the plate mate name

As a result the total cost is about 75

Shipping

I did a quick search at home improvement stores but bought these off amazon
