The only thing better than this in my cats eyes is the sink really. I love it the cats love it and they are well hydrated. I'm happy to scoop more often if it will keep my cats healthier.
The unit is quiet, and water flow can be adjusted. The only caveat is that it makes noise when the water level gets low. It’s quiet i keep water up to the fill line always. They are back to normal now that they have their bowl back tonormal.
Many kitchen floors are tile, linoleum, hard wood or a material that is hard. This one is so much easier to clean! The fact that it's stainless steel and can be cleaned in the dishwasher is great.
The dang thing works great - again! It breaks down into a lot of teeny tiny parts, but they're all easily cleaned and easily put back together. All parts except for the motor are machine-washable, although you may find mineral buildup.
The upside to being open air is if the power goes out kitty still gets water. The only other downside is that one of my cats likes to drown his toys in the water bowl so when he finally takes them out water is everywhere. It offers still water in the ... Read More

I dump the water at least every 2 weeks rinse out the filter and its holder and refill and dont go longer than a month

I was glad i didnt have to replace the whole thing and filters dont cost much also
The first pump lasted about 5 years and a replacement was really inexpensive

The second less than stellar feature is how often i need to add water

The water height needs to be quite high to keep the water flow moving at a speed strong enough to stir up the remaining water so it stays fresh
