There were only two downsides in my opinion and they were very small

First the case is open faced and you need a screen protector

Secondly after a while the pin in the kick stand began to slide out of the case

I eventually put some super glue in to hold it together after 7 months of use

The only down side is the bright orange color has become dull and faded only after 2 months of use

It is not the case shown in the second photo which clearly has a soft inner piece surrounded by a hard back piece and hard front frame
