Does have adjustable screws to tighten on pole to mount so you could use smaller diameter poles if you like but this is heavy duty built so is not lite
Reallly adjustble and hooked a dusk to dawn sensor to it inline with the electric
Works well and illuminates the yard better than the mercury arc light it replaces
