A seperate cover for winter however if you put in a pvc door be careful as the cover slides downwards and on my door it is recessed so not enough clearance for cover to slide into place

Even if someone managed to avoid the dogs and dislocate their own shoulders to get through then anything they want still has to go back out through the flap

We have had 4dog flaps before this one an they all broke has they were made of all plastic
