Unlike most dogs, my dog hates walks. We mention the word walk, and she runs away. When we go out for a walk, she will sit her butt down and refuse to move. It got so bad that we would drag her forward, and she would sprawl on all fours. In addition to that, she would eat gravel and trash and dried leaves that she would find all over the floor.Since switching from a neck collar to the gentle leader, she has become a much better walker. The gentle leader prevents her from eating most things off the ground (it doesn't clamp her mouth shut, she can still open her mouth and stick her tongue out), and we don't have to pull nearly as hard if she is stubborn and refuses to walk. It took a while for her to get used to the gentle leader, she would constantly paw at her face in an attempt to get it off. After a few weeks she has gotten completely used to it and does not resist when we put it on her. Highly recommend this product.  Read Less
