Pros

The seascape operates much the same, but is silent and we are thrilled. It is ceramic, so not the lightest fountain in the world, but very manageable for this senior woman to handle.

I love the open bowl because it’s also easy to visually see when you need to refill it. Total bonus, her floppy ears stay dry too. My only complaint is that i wish it was taller, or had some kind of base/stand to put it on.

Everything is dishwasher safe except the pump. The cord detaches in the middle so that you can pull the motor out without having to weave the whole cord and plug through the hole. It is not difficult to reassemble.

The company reps are wonderful that way. We are ecstatic with the seascape fountain that arrived today. That likely is necessary if one wants a fountain because pumps are plastic encased.

Cons

I fully believe that this is due to some design flaw as i don't have these issues with the pagoda model. Petsafe owes me at least a new one if not a different fountain if they have not corrected this flawed design.

The pump is extremely quiet, and the flow of water creates zero splashes -- so i can't hear this from 10 feet away.
