Each cat responds to scratchers differently. This one was a furniture-saver for our other cat. The scratcher part seems durable. Great scratching post.

Our cat really likes the rope wrapping, so this works great for her. She loves to pull on it until it snaps off and then chase it around the house.

A small item for a lot of use. They use it very often and play a lot trying to catch the ball. Just something to keep in mind. It is helpful.

Cats are finicky though. I have one cat, a *-tabby mix that is now a year old.

The screw holding the base to the post loosens all the time so it wobbles. Not sturdy enough for adult cats.
