Great product, works great on my 67 mustang.
I have used the pertronix only 1985 malibu skier with the ford engine now for years and it runs great .
Tried to install this on a 90s supra boat this will not work with the marine distributor i have
He says the truck starts easier and seems to run better with the petronix, but he's not convinced of the quality after two failures.
I replaced the points on my 1970 mustang with the pertronix 1281 ignitor and it worked great.
Price
Pertronix is the best ignition for old ford trucks that came with points.
Pertronix is on of the best and know one should run points

Bending the ring terminals to fit through the distributor hole makes them not fit on the coil terminals so better to cut them off and put on new ones after installing inside the distributor.

Problem arises when i change the cap and rotor .

Magnets come loose when lifting the rotor off or could be like some one mentioned i left the key on .
