Since we have a porch the plaque is not directly exposed to rain so i cannot say how it would hold up (wear, discolor) if it were.

Bought for our brick mailbox, see the pic, as the builder placed the mailbox on a side street (not the actual street of the house address) so every delivery service had trouble finding us.

My only comment is it was slightly smaller than i expected but thats on me, not the manufacturer.
