After looking at the product dimensions of both the smaller and larger parallel bars i felt the smaller ones would be more suited to my needs

For this reason i often experience hand slippage when going on the bare floor and even these bars had a tendency to want to roll

I believe what happened is that i relied too much on the structure of the bars when i should have been maintaining a strong grip as one would with an olympic bar overhead
