It actually competes in quality with the original furminator long hair deshedding tool for dogs large which i have owned for 5 years and keeps going strong in spite of the crazy shedding of my 6 yo lab
I am planning to take pics comparing both shedding tools when my dog is ready for his next shrinking session comparing the piles of hair
Using gentle strokes of the brush through her hair the brush seemed to work just as well if not better then store bought brushes
