This paul rubens oil pastels with 48 colors is quite a set it not only comes with the 48 pastels its got extras
Packaging/appearance
But the packaging is annoying the black foam that keeps the pastels in place actually makes the pastels dirty
I love having the extra white pastels in the kit too

The fact that they threw in a box of white pastels was fantastic

But the lightest colors tended to pick up the darker colors when layered meaning i had to clean them off if i wanted a true color

However once covered any additional attempts to add color just scraped the under layers off

The focus is pastel however so if you are wanting to have contrast and a one kit fits all type of performance this wont do it

The paper is heavy and good quality and i could see using it for a variety of painting and drawing not just for pastels although the paper does not say its acidfree
