Pros & Cons
Pros
The nikon 3t achromat works well on the panasonic 14-45mm zoom lens without an adapter. The lens is fantastic, whether you are an amateur photographer or a seasoned one who needs additional reach, without quality drop. There are other obvious options ... Read More
Sharpness and trueness of color are impeccable. The images are very sharp and focussing is right on. Quality of the glass, mount and operation is flawless.
It focuses faster when zooming in and out and is a much smoother zoom. Tack sharp at maximium distance and everywhere in between. There is a tiny bit of sharpness fall-off at the long end but completely usable there.
This lens is easily a match for my ef 70-300, but at a bare fraction of the weight. I have lumix 100-300mm zoom and it is a great lens, problem is the size sometimes may be a bit less convincing.
If you are thinking about buying a cheap telephoto zoom lens, this is a good lens. Even though that lens is now several years old, it's still one of the best mid-level zooms for photography. Some images taken with this lens can be seen [.

The panasonic quality is slighly below reading some advertising text at 100 m distance

I bought the camera on closeout and will upgrade somewhere in the future to one with evf but the lenses will be fine for down the road and as for the earlier ratings involving double imaging well that doesnt happen anymore if you have a recent camera with the firmwire upgrade
