Pros
The weight helps with crushing cans and so recycling is so much cleaner and space saver. It crushes the cans much smaller than my old one and will do 16oz cans no problem. The crusher is designed not to pinch fingers, crushes some bigger cans.
No issues so far after a couple of months. Years is a more than reasonable lifespan and i look forward to 11 years with the one i'm ordering today.
It looks fantastic in my kitchen. Very pleased. This thing is awesome!

One edge of the crushing plate was wedged in the housing of the crusher. The piston that helps crush the can is bent so it scrapes the right side of the can crusher when pulled down. No lubricant also means it's harder to pull lever.
The surfaces that came apart are completely badly rusted. Since it's put together with rivets, there's no way to disassemble and repair it.

We recycle cans and the grandkids love to crush the cans
I would also say to use some wd40 on the hinges as the crusher seems to have a lot of resistance out of the box

The bottom plate is a little weak so i put a small piece of plywood in it so it does bend after repeated use

I suggest swapping out the rivets for heavy duty nuts and bolts for a lifetime of can crushing
