The handles are skid proof so you can set them down extended out on either side of the sink so the colander is in the sink but not setting on the bottom of your sink which is kind of gross if you have to set your colander there

It isnt as collapsible as i could have wantedbasically the handles fold up on top

On the flip side of that its largeness is also the only real con to the piece

But then when it came time to get them back out of the colander and into a bowl for mashing its so wide that it was difficult to control the pouring of the potatoes back out of it

Even our widest bowl was no match for the width of this and try as we might even with two people guiding it potatoes were spilling out of the sides and onto the bare counter
