I wanted a french press with a brushed stainless steel holder for stain resistance and cleanability so found one by the same company at homegoods for the same price but after 1 12 months of use the glass carafe cracked and couldnt find any similar brushed stainless presses at the local stores so ordered this one online

Unlike bodum this type of press was made in china and the glass canister is not removable from the holder like those of most other manufacturersit is fixed in placewhich is not the greatest for cleaning

But for a canister that is less than half the price of most stores i figured it might be worth trying again

I had a more expensive bodum which didnt hold the glass carafe in place as well the pouring spout end would shift and result in messy pours due to the holder only being slotted strips of metal

This may have contributed to the bodum glass shattering shortly after purchase

A solid purchase just remember as with any french press to go slow with the plunger press the vacuum is super tight so if it goes down too fast youll pop the seal and end up with grounds in your coffee
