Pros & Cons
Pros
They are plastic and lightweight so you will need to be gentle. They fit perfect in the palm of my hand and has a clip (like an ink pen) to clip on shirt pocket.
The color coding is great. It takes 2 seconds and is easy to do yourself. Pretty straightforward tool. I need to bring my reading glasses or use my cell as a magnifier to read it.
Good set of tire depth gauges. Numbers etched into them so oil/ solvent won't take a toll. Yellow and red marking to let you know when it's time or close to change out tires.
Cons
Scale is in a piece of sticky paper adhered to the moveable bar, and not accurate. One of the reader is so biased. If you press on the needle, or just use it properly, it moves back and forth inside of the part that has the measurement graduations.
It is very fragile. The product is poorly made.
When measured with a micrometer the gauge's full depth is only 7/8th-inch. They are extremely cheaply made, but read in 32ths of an inch. The one with the longer probe only does so when there is zero depth.
Highlights
Quality
Was hesitant about getting these because i’m unsure of the quality and accuracy but after measuring and i see it was a good buy
Decided to get another one as i had no issues with the other one
It seems like i have to oil up the product for it to work properly
This is because the number wuold be cut in half if it was centered with the line
