Overall its pretty well sealed for getting a little rain on it but it is not water resistant

There is an exposed usb socket and the battery compartment on the bottom has no protection from water whatsoever

Hard to tell because the solar panel on top is so sensitive its always charging itself up

It has survived some terrible beatings from the kids and the one time it was left to rattle around in the camper for a few hours on the way home

I wouldnt completely trust recharging the battery by solar power for long periods of time as it probably would take a good bit of sun to charge the internal battery that way but i can confirm that the solar panel does work
