Pros
Display is easy to read and has a built in alternator tester as well. The analog is easier with the the color coded voltage scale. Works fine, but unlike it's analog counterpart, requires some user calculations.
The otc 3183 battery load tested is compact and easy to use. It has quite sturdy battery *. Comes with decent instructions.
Cons
It feels like it is a quality unit, except that the quality control is non-existent. The unit is unusable. Also, it was packed inadequately and has shipping damage.

Had an intermittant engine no start condition used load tester and found that the battery had a problem with supplying enough current on very cold days to the starter

The instruction say to add or subtract depending on the temperature and the cold cranking amps of the battery

Since i tested the battery when the temperature was 40 degrees the low temperature cancelled out the added cold cranking amps of the battery
