Either applying it to wood thats already been treatedoiled as it says on the tin not to apply on top of previously oiled surfaces top coat applied longer than 7 days after primer again it says on the tin for top coat to be applied within 7 days or if additional coats have been applied without leaving the required lenth of time in between
