This is the nicest tripod i have owned. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive for this tripod. This tripod is a steal!

It is amazingly durable and very smooth and precise in its movements. Even the elevator crank is fluid and smooth!

Cons

With 20x or stronger binoculars, this would be an even more serious issue. You can only tilt the pan head up about 45 degrees. This is another of their products that demonstrates a surprising lack of forethought.

The tripod was so nice i almost kept it for some future use instead of wasting 30 bucks on return shipping

Shipping was about 30 to return tripod to orion because it wasnt amazon prime but amazon market place the tripod weighs 11lbs with box etc

I am using a canon 5ds camera with l lenses so the overall weight is fairly heavy

This was a great value at 101 compared to other tripods you can buy at the price

They werent kidding abpout heavy duty

I mounted a celestron spotting scope on it and it works beautifully
