The included usb and esata cables were a bit short for where my computer is so i purchased a monoprice 6 esata cable
I thought it was the drive but i plugged in a vantec on the system and no problems now

Only issue i had was that some drives had to be in slave mode one had to be in cable select one only worked in master or single device
