Pros
Enclosure works great with it but it did require initiating andformatting it to ntfs to make it compatible. It is easy to insert/remove/swap drives in this enclosure. It has a type b plug typically found on most hard drive enclosures.
This is the second one that i have and they both perform flawlessly. Worked perfectly. Would buy again.
Cons
Seagate barracuda pro 14tb can and will not support this enclosure. While on the hard drive side it uses a type c port, the data cable that you connect to your computer is a type a connector. This makes the battery mostly pointless. Was unable to use ... Read More
After 3 days carry it on the train, i notice the disk moved position. The disk is not securely mounted. There are no screws to close the case, only a plastic cover that clicks into place lightly. Cover pops off very easy exposing the hdd.
All plastic, flimsy. Item listed incorrectly, verified with manufacturer.

The 4 new ones go to sleep after 10 minutes or so and the leds turn red until you next access them

You need only connect other end of the cable to a usb port on the device you want to use with the drive
