Pros
The controls are more intuitive than my former phones. The phone works flawlessly in the configuration i need. It can be used on virtually any carrier. Support for low cost providers (ie tello, straighttalk etc.
Love all the features especially the 3 finger swipe screenshot. The fingerprint reader is quick and perfect to lock certain apps like ebay or amazon or email as well as waking the phone.
Cons
It just keeps connecting and disconnecting. Chrome freezes up constantly, requiring you to minimize and reopen.
Oneplus offers repair warranty only. No response in almost a week. No reply. Horrible cuatomer service.
This phone is way overpriced for all the headaches i have received. The battery is a big disappointment. Every photo is just disappointing.

Price is most enjoyable at 249 600 a couple years ago
1the price then dropped to 400 on amazon brand new shipped and sold from amazon
Shipping
It has a great display curved at the edges which i thought was nice fast response light not bloated with apps
If you want a fast phone with decent battery life and fast charging then this is for you
Packaging/appearance
The only downside is that i already have a small crack on the side of the screen
The best phones have lenses that telescope in to the subject then expand further digitally as the oneplus does
That same day i got the oneplus 10 pro
Competitiveness
Saved a bundle by choosing these instead of the more expensive brands
The oneplus 8 does everything better than my previous phones and i use this phone for everything
Compared to oneplus 8 pro it has less storage no wireless charging and no 120hz display which are not important to me
This is probably the last of the once great oneplus phones

Ive read the 9 and 10 models arent as good as the 8 and i was not going to pay full price for a newer phone

Even though it was 4g capable my carrier in the states wouldnt recognize it for anything beyond 3g

I use consumer cellular which is on the att network

It uses volte but not vowifi i think att doesnt support it

It gets 5g in dallas texas but the connection is sporadic

For att 5g it uses the n5 band but none of the mmwave bands n260 and n261 which are for very high speeds
