The cover itself is very lightweight and is rigid both front and rear to help protect your kindle from those unexpected knocks drops and scratches that appear to dog our electronic devices

When closed the front cover of the case is held shut by means of a hidden magnetic clasp that also on closing and opening acts as an automatic sleep and wake switch and so no wasted kindle battery when not being used

Only issue ive had is that sometimes when i fold the cover back behind the kindle it triggers the kindle to think the cover is closed and it displays the off page momentarily
