Pros & Cons
Pros
The stiffness of the bristles makes it easy to whip up a nice lather. After a few dozen soakings/uses/dryings, the brush transmogrifies into a cloud-like delivery system rich, creamy lather and borderline sinful pampering.
The bristles are sturdy and keep its shape. My only gripe is that i wish the handle had a little more weight to it.
This is the perfect beginners brush, albeit a bit of a break it, but followed the recommended break in procedure and all will be fine in no time. It's not a flashy brush that will impress anyone except you every time you use it.
Soak brush in cold water in the fridge 24hrs2. Piggy on her way back from kermit's house the very first time. Blooming and softening up beautifully after only a week. Assuming the stench calms down, this brush out performs my $150 brush with ease.
Cons
Hopefully mine is a one off and yours doesn't pong. Smells like dead rat. Looks like pita bread.
Handle too chunky to fit in standard drying rack. It doesn't retain water like a badger. All omega brushes sold on the omega website all have markings on the handle faces.
Highlights
Quality
This is a good quality brush and for the price almost an unbeatable value
Great brush very happy with the omega pro 48 brand and the boar brushchuck
I struggled to get good rich creamy lather and was also a bit underwhelmed with the silver tip badger brush as it seemed too soft for me
This time around the classic boar scent i experienced with the first omega seemed to be absent
Price
It appears to be good quality and the price was right so i gave it a 4 stars for that
This is my first real brush and it works great and at a decent price
Packaging/appearance
So i never decided to smell the bristles right out of the box as i didn’t want that to persuade me
You need a few days to wash out the mild mostly inoffensive odor
Competitiveness
Then washed the brush with my shampoo and let it sit for a day or so then used a bit of my wife’s conditioner and let that sit for a day
Ive been able to whip up some great lathers with this tool with both my taylor of old bond street cream and proraso soap
I bought this brush september 2014 now july 2018 expecting to get maybe a year of use out of it considering the price point
At the end it smelled like my wife’s conditioner and it smelled great

The brush makes great lather but in my opinion that’s more to the lather you use than the brush
