Pros & Cons
Pros
The okatsune is by far the sharpest i have every used. They stay very sharp but they are easy to clean and to sharpen. The blade is very sharp and cuts without tearing. Cut much cleaner than the popular swiss brand.
Okatsune 104 pruners are extremely sharp and stay that way much longer. Precise manufacturing (sharp thin blade) makes them easy to use - can cut close to 1 (with some determination) i find them better designed to prevent fatigue when you have a lot o... Read More
Really solid performer, the xl fits in my hand well. My only gripe is the slipperiness of the plastic handles. You can pinch your hand on the opening and closing.
These are absolutely worth the modestly higher price. They are very strong and durable. But otherwise, these are 100% superb!
Cons
Rust rust rust rust. Caused a severe blister.

I thought it was pricing at first but decided to go with it
Shipping
Took a little time to receive them but for the price it was a no brainerd
We used to have to order these from overseas arrived fast and were true okatsune
I then took photos of the pruners sent them to the customer service of okatsune who then forwarded me to someone in holland
Packaging/appearance
They have the angles on the package
The package has sharpening directions which i recommend following
Competitiveness
I bought these along with a pair of felco 8s and the okasune is definitely preferred
The pruners are great quality and work well better than the american or chinese made ones
Most of the other makers pruners cut through the main stock but stop at the far side of the cut and leaves some of the stringy bark uncut
I have another japanese made pruner hanada home brand that is much better overall but they seem to have gone out of business
